Hi, I’m Kait

I write, edit, and connect the creative dots to tell stories.

Over the years, I’ve realized that we all see the world a little differently. Personally, I see the world in stories.

Looking for an editorial eye? I’m a frequent outside reader and am excited to extend that service beyond my immediate circle. Professionally, I’ve published journalism and lit crit, ghostwritten for entrepreneurs, crafted taglines and named products — and that’s just the start. I’ve contributed editorial services to an author’s debut novel and to award-winning poetry manuscripts. I’ve edited short stories, helped transform cover letters, and coached students through the process of articulating their authentic voice in college admissions essays.

My formal education includes a literary-driven Theater Arts BA with dramaturgical experience and a Creative Writing MFA with dual capstones in both playwriting and poetry. My curiosity keeps me learning. I’ve won fellowships to study with local NYC orgs like Brooklyn Poets and the 92Y. More recently, I’ve earned 25+ credits in graduate-level conservation biology courses and field work through Miami University’s Project Dragonfly. I’m especially interested in the ways we can bridge the gaps in data-driven information and solutions-oriented imagination.

Whatever writing project you have in mind, I’m happy to learn more and see if we’re a fit to collaborate!

Say hi over on LinkedIn & Substack

If you’re writing about a specific event, project, or service, please indicate in the subject line. Inquiries about unlisted services are welcome!

It’s most helpful if you share the following:

  • 1) your idea or the scope of work

  • 2) any relevant timelines and financial details

  • 3) any challenges you’re hoping I can help you navigate

Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you :)

Let’s keep in touch.

Some projects call for blue sky visions. Others demand rainy day resourcefulness.

My work arcs across the spectrum of digital and social media, integrated marketing, communications, public relations, and, of course, tried and true storytelling.

How about yours?

Here’s hoping we get to collaborate and share stories together.
